Police are angry at the star’s action in running away from the scene of Saturday's accident. And because of the delay, the blood samples taken after he finally surrendered may prove negative. The spoilt brat of Bollywood has been charged with being under the influence of alcohol at the time. Salman also claimed that he was not driving but sitting in the back seat. The actor had been given police security after he complained of getting threats from the underworld. "His security has been removed after the accident," said Joe Gaikwad, inspector at the Mumbai police control. "Khan was given security after he complained of threats. But we have now withdrawn after seeing his latest behavior. No one drives around the city at 3:00 am when you are supposed to be at risk from the underworld." "The least he could have done is wait at the site and not abscond," Gaikwad said. "The test results are due Monday. But we feel they could be negative as a lot of time had passed between the accident and the time the tests were taken." His police bodyguard has said in his complaint that the actor had been driving "rashly". |
